Coming to Edinburgh for university will be a really exciting and important time for you, and Chalmers wants to be a local church that supports you during your time here. Have a look at the welcome video and the page below to get a feel for what being a part of Chalmers Church Family would be like. For more updates for students at Chalmers, check out the Facebook group
Focus is the undergraduate student small group that meets on Tuesdays at 6.45pm during term time. Alongside Sunday services, Focus is at the heart of what being an undergraduate student at Chalmers Church is all about. It is a great way to get to know Jesus better, benefit from the experience of other Christians, pray for one another and encourage one another, all the while building deep and lasting friendships!
Over the Summer there'll be some book read-through groups for you to join. These will get together weekly to discuss a book and pray for one another. If you want to know more, please get in touch with Adam.
Link Up Sundays
Normally students meet for student lunch on Sundays during term time after the 11.30am service. This involves lots of food, meeting other students, chatting about life and about the sermon.
Link Up Sundays happen a few times a term where someone from the church would be happy to host you for a meal as a means of getting to know you. Sign up for this is available by getting in touch with Adam.
The Weekend Away is always a highlight of the student calendar. It is a great place to spend time together with friends in the church family digging deeper into some core Bible truths together.
Keep an eye out for the date of the next Weekend Away in February.
Chris Turner, History Student
"The student weekend away is a fantastic opportunity for spiritual growth as a student within the church family. It's great to be able to gather everyone together for a weekend and get stuck into the bible together! It's also the perfect opportunity to take a break from essays and looming exam prep."
